My 2014 Q1 Finish-a-Long list

I am excited to get started on these projects again! I am linking up with the 2014 first quarter Finish-a-long and it's new host Katy at The Littlest Thistle.

Finish Along 2014

Thanks for picking up this really wonderful group for a new year! There are always wonderful prizes available from great sponsors and a chance to win with every project you finish and link up. A great incentive to get moving on all of those languishing projects!

Here's my very unrealistic wish list:
1) Scrappy Trips
The top is now complete. Needs to be quilted and bound. I even have a piece of fabric for the back!

2) Liberty and Justice Bee quilt
I need to make one more block, sash the blocks, quilt and bind. These blocks are large at 16" and the block design is from quilterscache.com, and is called Last Bastion of the Republic.

3) Layer Cake  Lemonade quilt
This is a finished top too. Needs to be quilted and bound.

4) Shoenrock cross Pillow
Pieces are cut out. Need to paper piece, quilt and finish

5) Lucky Stars Project
One  block is sewn, many more to work on... I love the Simply Color fabrics I started with, and I am looking forward to improving my limited paper piecing skills.

6) William Morris project - Swartz Creek Scrap quilt
This one is an oldie. From a class I took in September 2012. It has been taking up design wall space for far too long... All these 4" blocks need to be sewn together. I don't know why I seem to find this so daunting.

7) My low volume mess-
This is a top I am not happy with. The photo below shows only half of the finished top.  I should make one more row of blocks (4) plus the partial blocks for the right edge (6) and bottom(4) as was my original plan, but not sure I want to bother. We shall see.

8) Leftover rainbow
Gosh, I am really excited about this one! I received a lovely package of 1.5" squares in the mail from Katy of From the Blue Chair. It seems she had a bunch of leftovers from a quilt she made, and was thoroughly DONE with pieces this small. I had a great time sorting and playing. Can't wait to see what I come up with for this cool strip of very small pieces...

9) Fat quarter holiday napkins
Yep. All cut out and never finished before the holidays. Guess I'll be very early for next year!!!

I am very excited to get some of these projects off my WIP list and into use!! Thanks Katy for taking on the hosting duties for this great FAL.

    1. Thanks!! I put lots of things on my list because I tend to be kind of fickle and I like to be working on a few things at a time to keep me interested.
