I am a Pattern Designer!

I have a pattern for sale now in my Etsy shop and on Craftsy!

I decided to do what so many other crafters have done, and publish one of my patterns for sale online. When my nephew was adopted, I wanted to make a quilt for both my niece and my new nephew, and I did not have a ton of time! So, I got to work designing something simple that would highlight some great large-scale kids prints.

This was the quilt I made for my nephew:

After I posted the photo on Flickr, someone asked where they could get the pattern for this quilt!!! I filed that away for the future, and now the time has come that I updated the design, wrote it up into a pattern called "Big Print Bonanza," and posted it for sale on Etsy and Craftsy.

I made some changes to the design as I went along to make it even easier to assemble. I adjusted the sizes of some of the pieces to make this quilt Charm Pack-friendly. One charm pack, one yard of a large scale print, and 1/3 of a yard of a coordinating solid, and you can complete the quilt top in no time flat. If you want, you can use a single width of fabric for the back - no piecing! Easy as pie.

Here is the second (new and improved) version of the design:

This was a quick and easy one to put together, with no worries about matching points or seams. It ends up at approximately 40 x 48", so it can be quilted on your regular domestic machine. Perfect for a quick donation quilt or gift. I can imagine making this with Patriotic prints and donating it as a lap quilt for a veteran! Make it in all pinks and donate it to a chemo center to be used by patients! Make it manly with stripes and plaids or completely scrappy from your stash -  The options are endless.

I hope you check out my pattern and enjoy making a quick and easy quilt!
